What is NLP?
The Neuro-linguistic Programming describes the essential processes of how people perceive themselves and their environment, how they process the gained information in their own way, act on that basis, communicate with others, learn and change.
This method is based on the knowledge of modern system theory, linguistic science, neurophysiology and psychology.
People differ in the way they experience specific situations and how they see themselves, other people, their relations and experience their professional activities and everyday life. Depending on how we perceive ourselves and our environment, how we think, how we feel and evaluate these feelings, we may experience one and the same situation as pleasant and beneficial, or even as difficult and stressful.

How did NLP develop?
Dr. Richard Bandler (born 1950) and John Grinder (born 1939) defined the essential principles of NLP. They met in the university of California in the USA – one of them being a student of mathematics, information sciences and psychology and the other a young linguistics professor, when they worked together at the beginning of the seventies.
Bandler and Grinder dealt intensively with the question:
"What is the real difference between a person who is just competent and another who achieves above-average results in the same field?"
For a variety of reasons, they chose three people as models for worldwide excellent psychotherapists.
Bandler and Grinder first studied their language, their nonverbal behavior and their mental processes. They discovered specific patterns they could standardize and teach.
